Sophomore Hailee Cooper of the Texas Longhorns women’s golf team has been named to the watchlist of the ANNIKA Award.

Cooper, a graduate of Montgomery High School, already has some accolades to her credit. In 2019, she was named All-America for both the WCGA and Golfweek, and was named Big 12 Freshman of the Year, All-Big 12 Conference and Academic All-Big 12 Conference.

Her success builds on the track record she established as a freshman, competing in 12 tournaments and 36 rounds.

“The first 10 rounds of her collegiate career came at par or better,” TexasSports.com reports. She also won the Betsy Rawls invitational and tied for first place at the Bruzzy Challenge.

According to her college bio, she was introduced to golf at an early age and was on the soccer team during her school days. She served as class vice president as a high school senior and was on the National Honor Society.
