The stakes of this election are clear. We experience them every time we fill our tank or buy groceries.
During Donald Trump’s term, the year-over-year inflation rate was 2% and paychecks were growing faster than inflation. Americans were getting richer.
Under Biden, inflation now stands at 6% with a peak of 9%. As a result, prices are up 20% on average while incomes have not kept pace with inflation for the entire Biden term!
As the FED raises interest rates to combat Biden’s inflation, the cost of financing a car or a home has become unobtainable for the average middle class American.
Only Jimmy Carter performed worse… and Biden has another seven months to go.
When this election is framed in terms of the cost of living and inflation, Republicans win in a landslide. The Democrats are in a panic to make the election about Donald Trump, but I’m not going to let anyone forget that the source of our collective and individual misery is Joe Biden and the Democrat machine which enables him.
That is why I am setting out on a cross-country bus tour starting next week at the Republican National Convention. This supporter-funded effort will take me to all the swing states to remind voters that when they go to pay their $300 grocery bill, Joe Biden did that!
The bus itself is colorfully wrapped and covered in specific details about the cost of Joe Biden and the Democrats’ incompetence to the average American.
The objective is to demonstrate that the high cost of living is the direct result of Biden’s inflationary policies, terrible legislation, and out-of-control spending.
When an illegal alien is receiving more in monthly benefits than a retired American is getting from social security, the country is ready for a new direction.
When Americans must choose between paying the rent or feeding their kids, the country is ready for a new direction.
When the dream of home ownership has become the nightmare of moving back in with parents or being a permanent renter, the country is ready for a new direction.
The Gas & Groceries Truth Tour is about highlighting Biden’s failures, connecting them to Americans’ struggles, and forging that new direction with President Trump and a Republican-controlled Congress.
It is our goal to increase Donald Trump’s vote share by 1% in each of these swing states.
Success means re-electing President Trump, electing a responsible majority in Congress, and passing common sense legislation to get prices under control, create jobs, invigorate private investment, and renew the American middle class for another generation.
