U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas warned that the upcoming midterm elections are the most consequential of his lifetime in an interview on “The Salcedo Storm Podcast.”
“I’ve never seen the Democrat Party go as crazy as it is, and I’m worried about Texas,” said Cruz, adding that he is “all in for Ken Paxton.”
Cruz cautioned voters to take candidates’ statements seriously: “When James Talarico in Texas says he wants to quote, ‘dismantle capitalism,’ believe him.”
“Talarico is extreme and dangerous. He means what he’s saying, and the two most radical candidates in the country are James Talarico and Abdul El-Sayed. We need to take them seriously,” Cruz added.
Salcedo described an undercurrent of frustration with Republicans, with some saying they will not go vote. “They say, ‘I’m just going to stay home.’ Others who [are] like, ‘I despise conservatives, so I’m actually going to vote for the Democrats. Say these guys like Karl Rove who say they’re going to vote Democrat.”
Cruz responded by contrasting Democrat voter turnout. “At this point, it is 100 percent turnout. They hate Donald Trump, and that hatred will cause them to crawl over broken glass to vote.”
“We’re seeing something really frightening in the Democrat Party,” Cruz continued. “We’re seeing a green-red alliance of the Marxist and Islamists who are taking over that party.”
He predicted that nothing good would happen if the country handed over the keys to “the crazies.”
“The two most radical candidates in the country are James Talarico and Abdul El-Sayed. We need to take them seriously, and we need to mobilize. We need to organize. We need to get our friends and our family to show up,” said Cruz.
