Air Force Academy running back Christian Mallard brings a strong athletic resume to school’s football team.

According to the school’s website, the 5-foot-9, 205-pound junior from San Antonio achieved numerous accolades during his senior year at Taft High School including being named the district’s most valuable player, a first-team all-district selection, first-team all-area honors and a second-team all-state selection.

In addition to being lettered three years in football as a high school student, Mallard also was lettered four years in track and was a regional qualifier in the 4×100 and 4×200 relays in his senior year.

At Air Force Academy, Mallard played in three games in 2017 where he recorded four carriers for 21 yards and a touchdown with a long run of 10 yards. He didn’t see any varsity action in 2016.

Mallard is a computer science major at Air Force Academy. He is a member of cadet squadron 40 and enjoys playing Xbox in his spare time.
