Denton Guyer High School graduate De’Vion Harmon is enjoying a solid start as a true freshman floor general for Oklahoma.

The 6-foot-1-inch, 201-pound Harmon has three starts for the Sooners and averages 10.3 points per game in his young collegiate career. He scored a season-high 23 points in 33 minutes in Oklahoma’s season-opening 85-67 victory over the University of Texas-San Antonio on Nov. 5.

Aside from his scoring ability, Harmon has proven to be reliable on defense, totaling two steals and two blocks.

Prior to his arrival in Norman, the Plano-born broadcast journalism major was considered one of the highest-ranked point guards in the nation. At Guyer, he earned two gold medals as a member of Team USA’s U-16 and U-17 squads.

Oklahoma will take on William & Mary at home on Nov. 18.
