Seth LeDay’s beginnings for the East Carolina Pirates basketball grogram have been marked by growing consistency.

A transfer from Virginia Tech, the 6-foot-7-inch, 215-pound junior forward has netted double-digits scoring efforts 18 times for the Pirates over their first 27 games this season, including five of his last six, according to ESPN.

LeDay’s best game came in a 79-69 home loss to Memphis on Feb. 13, when he posted a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds. For the season, LeDay is averaging 11 points and six rebounds for the 10-17 Pirates.

A graduate of Colony High, LeDay began his collegiate career at Seminole State Junior College, where he averaged 10 points and four rebounds before transferring to Northwest Mississippi Community College. There he averaged 18.5 points and eight rebounds on the way to being named first-team All-MACJC and NJCAA All-Region 23.

During his three seasons at Colony, LeDay won honors as all-region, all-area and first-team all-defense and all-offense.
