There is no doubt that where Texas A&M junior guard Chennedy Carter goes, the Aggies will follow.

Carter, who graduated from and starred at Mansfield Timberview High, has begun her third season in College Station, one in which she is expected to take TAMU to greater heights. The two-time All-American and two-time First Team All-SEC selection is the lone returning Aggie who averages more than 20 points in her first two seasons.

According to High Post Hoops, Southeastern Conference coaches tabbed Carter to win player of the year while forecasting her team to finish on top.

Carter was one of TAMU’s top scorers in the season-opening 78-35 victory over Little Rock. She generated 16 points to go with six assists and five rebounds.

Expect the backcourt wizard to figure prominently in the Aggies’ offensive attack, as well as continue to establish herself as a TAMU women’s hoops legend in the making.
