Place kicker Jonathan Song has had a busy season with four wins, five losses in his junior year with the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs ahead of this weekend’s game against West Virginia.

Song, a Fort Worth native, graduated from All Saints’ Episcopal School in 2015, where he played football and soccer. At 5 feet 10 inches and 163 pounds, Song’s in-game field goal record was 56 yards. He was rated the No. 18 kicker in the country in high school, according to Dave Campbell’s Texas High School report. He capped his high school career with 281 total points, 103 touchbacks and a 43.78-yard net punting average.

As a TCU freshman, Song’s two kickoffs during a game against Steven F. Austin brought his average to 63.5 yards. An injury sidelined him as sophomore in 2016, but he came back in 2017 to play nine games, scoring eight of eight field goals. This year, he’s logged five field goals on seven attempts.
