A new study reveals that the invasion at the southern border is costing Texas taxpayers nearly $13.4 billion a year.

The analysis from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) found the crisis at the border is costing taxpayers nationwide $182 billion annually. Texas taxpayers, meanwhile, have been on the hook for public education, indigent medical care, housing and nutrition assistance, and other benefits such as in-state tuition at public universities.

The cost to each Texan is about $4,466 annually.
