In keeping with our effort to provide Texans with the information they need to be informed voters, Texas Scorecard made a questionnaire available to those running the State Republican Executive Committee.

Consisting of one man and one woman from each of the state’s 31 Senate Districts, the SREC is, essentially, the governing body of the Republican Party of Texas, meeting several times a year to do the party’s business, such as organizing convention and passing resolutions.

While we won’t be issuing an endorsement in any of these races, we hope that the responses to these questions will help you decide which man and which woman will best represent your interests on the SREC.

Here are the answers from the SREC candidates who submitted the questionnaire:

Senate District 1

Senate District 2

Senate District 4

Senate District 7

Senate District 8

Senate District 12

Senate District 15

Senate District 16

Senate District 20

Senate District 25

Senate District 26
