An organization that describes itself as a “conservative social movement” and has been involved in recent AI data center protests is being accused of partnering with an open platform boasting progressive and left-wing alliances.
The homepage for Humans First states that while “the conservative movement has been transformed by President Trump into a movement that puts the interest of everyday Americans first … Big AI globalists seek to hijack our movement to get Washington, D.C. to put Big AI before the American people.”

Part of the initiative of Humans First involved organized protests planned for this past Saturday in 42 states across the nation. The organizer guidebook found on the protest webpage states that the protests are “against the AI data center buildout” and that “[Humans First is] calling on politicians … to take federal action to stop Big Tech building AI that threatens our security and liberty.”
However, certain partnerships drew critical attention from individuals online. Parker Thayer, an investigative researcher for Capital Research Center, posted screenshots to X in mid-June that appeared to show Humans First was using Action Network to facilitate its email marketing.
Action Network, which Thayer calls “basically ActBlue for nonprofits,” describes itself as “an open platform that empowers individuals and groups to organize for progressive causes.”
Its homepage boasts partnerships with Black Lives Matter, the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, and MoveOn, among other progressive and left-leaning organizations.
Additionally, the homepage states that “in the first 24 hours after President Biden endorsed Vice President Harris, organizations raised over $70 million using Action Network.”
Cody Sargent, an employee in the Office of Communications for the U.S. Department of the Interior, also noted that Humans First was apparently involved with both a former event organizer for Kamala Harris and a former organizer for the Sunrise Movement, which states its objective is partially to “disrupt business as usual to force Donald Trump out of power.”
“This is climate change hysteria 2.0 led by the same Leftists. Don’t fall for it,” says Sargent.
Humans First’s privacy policy now only includes information for Mail Chimp under its “Email Marketing” heading and does not appear to promote a partnership with Action Network. No information is currently available on the status of the partnerships addressed by Sargent.
Humans First, is helmed by Amy Kremer, a longtime conservative organizer who was involved in the Tea Party movement and co-founded both Women for Trump and Women for America First. The organization has not yet responded to a request for comment.
Data centers have come under scrutiny in Texas. Polling has shown Texans are concerned that the energy-intensive projects will strain the power grid and water supply.
San Marcos recently became the first Texas city to ban data centers in late June, while Gov. Greg Abbott has called for data centers to “operate in ways that reduce costs for residential electricity customers, do not drain water needed for our communities, and take into consideration the needs of our neighborhoods.”
The Public Utility Commission of Texas is expected to reevaluate how costs are passed onto consumers to ensure Texans are not footing the bill for data centers.
